My cultural heritage has built confidence and gave me a sense of belonging. I appreciate those who have come before me, who have worked hard to carve out a life for family and loved ones. The stories of our great-grandparents, grandparents, and parents are awe inspiring and important to preserve history. I was born and raised in Watsonville. I have always been grateful to grow up in this green and bountiful valley. This is a wonderful place to raise a family. The community of Watsonville is diverse and creates such a rich and warm environment. I am honored to be a part of the Brillante project. This is a unique opportunity to honor one another celebrating our traditions and culture. Sharing our heritage gives us a sense of place. Let it inspire!
