History

The founder, Kathleen Crocetti, has worked in site specific community based art works since 1994, but it wasn’t until 2010 when Kathleen and her students installed 100 mosaics on light posts crossing the San Lorenzo River that her zeal for the San Lorenzo River and her public art drive kicked into full throttle. The installation of one or two public artworks on the riverfront a year for eight years has brought major changes to the way the city of Santa Cruz values and uses the riverfront. The arts have the ability to create social change. One tile at a time, Kathleen builds community pride and connections, fosters creativity, and creates iconic art for all of us.
