Eliza’s Statement:

My Swedish heritage connects me with my grandfather and his family. Feeling like part of a community is such an amazing experience. Being able to partake in traditions and holidays from Swedish culture is such a big part of my life, and I love being able to celebrate with my family. Being a public artist is so amazing and gratifying. I’ve only lived in Santa Cruz for two years, so being given the opportunity to contribute and be a part of the community feels great. I’m so excited to go and see my art and know that I contributed to a project like this. I hope I am able to involve myself in my community again soon.
